There are lots of art galleries and studios dotted around the quaint fishermen’s cottages, as well as world famous venues that attract visitors all year round .....

The unique and inspiring Minack Theatre is Cornwall’s world famous open air amphitheatre.   The seats have been carved into the granite cliff, overlooking the spectacular panorama of Porthcurno Bay.  Afternoon and evening performances run daily from May until September.  The visitor centre and gardens are open all year, with events for children usually on during school holidays.  Book early - performances are truly dramatic, and the views are breathtaking!

Porthcurno occupies a special position in history as the most strategically important communications site in mainland Britain.  In 1870 Porthcurno first becme a communications centre with undersea telegraph cables reaching to India and the British Empire.  During the second World War Porthcurno’s communications centre was moved to a bomb proof underground building where secret messages were transmitted around the world.  Visit the museum, check out the secret tunnels and the working telecommunications equipment and discover the Victorian Internet!!

Explore the amazing island world of St Michael’s Mount and discover legend, myth, and over 1000 years of incredible history ........  At low tide you can stroll across the causeway, but during high tide you will need to take the short journey with one of the boat taxi’s.
